Homo sapiens 2.0

Pues puede parecer un poco exagerado, ¿no? Resulta que los humanos ya podemos actualizarnos a la versión 2.0. Voy a ver si lo explico a mi vecina del quinto algún día que coincidamos en el ascensor. Sí, lo recoge Nicholas Carr: el MIT monta el Media Lab h2.o, que no es «agua» sino «humano dos punto cero», pero con «0» pequeño (no pillo muy bien el asunto).

Pero es que no tiene desperdicio su presentación:

The story of civilization is the story of humans and their tools. Use of tools has changed the human mind, altered the human body, and fundamentally reshaped human identity. Now at the dawn of the 21st century, a new category of tools and machines is poised to radically change humanity at a velocity well beyond the pace of Darwinian evolution.

Pasen y vean, señoras y señoras, pasen y vean al nuevo humano 2.0. Con sus antenitas ocultas, con su wifi de serie incorporado en las orejas. Bueno, trataremos de seguir lo que allá en los USA vayan investigando. Si quieres estar al tanto y no sabes qué hacer el próximo 9 de mayo, date una vuelta por el Kresge Auditorium allá en el MIT. Dicen que hay un simposium de un día sobre new minds, new bodies, new identities. Luego no digas que no te avisé.
